Set in a lovely redbrick rowhouse, this south Baltimore favorite is a great place to grab a beer and a bite. The dark wood interior is comfortable and inviting, whether you choose to sit at the long bar or in the dining room. (There’re also café tables outside.) The restaurant offers a full, and very eclectic, menu, but appetizers and bar fare are what the kitchen does best.
The satay is delicious, the crab cakes are first rate, and the Jambalaya is chock-full of shrimp, fish and other delights.

Baltimore City Paper

Did you really think we would send you to an Anne Arundel County factory for a damn crab cake, especially when there’s an outstanding specimen right here in the city? Always cozy Regi’s, a pioneering Federal Hill bistro, pan-sears its jumbo lump crab cake, held together with just enough mayonnaise and panko (those totally-in Japanese-style bread crumbs) and seasoned with a sprinkling of parsley and a soupçon of Dijon mustard. Throw in some smashed roasted garlic potatoes and seasonal vegetables, and what you’ve got is a thoroughly up-to-date and citified adaptation of the classic Eastern Shore crab cake. And unlike so many other restaurants with masterful crab cakes, the rest of Regi’s menu isn’t crap.

In a neighborhood where good food isn’t unusual, one quintessential Federal Hill pub-restaurant offers upscale entrees and martinis galore. Enclosed within the tiny confines of twin row houses built in the 1860s, the eatery exudes a laid-back vibe. Exposed brick walls and polished hardwood floors greet diners as they travel through the bar to the dining room with its large storefront window and original, antique marble fireplace. The menu is an eclectic mix of comfort foods (like lamb chops and burgers) and a healthy assortment of salads. Martinis are a Regi’s specialty–a separate menu boasts 23 items to be shaken, not stirred.

Regi’s has become our “special occassion” place and the place we take all of our out of town guests for dinner. You can always count on a warm and friendly greeting, professional and respectful service, and most importantly, a meal that simply will not disappoint. The menu consists of a wide variety of entrees, appetizers, salads, etc. and the flavors and accompaniments are matched so well with the main dish. I have recommended Regi’s to many people and everyone just raves about it. It’s truly a hidden treasure!
